I chose it because it received high marks from Consumer Reports but I am writing this review because I am very impressed with it. The lint trap is well designed (I work for a safety certification organization and I can tell you that lint fires from dryers is a top cause of residential fires). This trap seems to catch much more lint than my old one. The unit is easy to use and seems to wear on my clothes less than my old one. So far I am really happy. Just one precaution - buttons on garments tend to get caught on the lint trap and can be torn off. Be sure to turn those garments with buttons inside out before using.
