In addition, no matter the price, none lasted more than a few years of running light to average loads weekly. This is our first front-loader and it definitely cleans much better than any of the top loaders we've owned. The cycles are also shorter. As it's new, I can't speak to long-term reliability yet. It certainly doesn't take much to have a repair exceed the cost of replacement, but I'm hopeful that this washer will perform better. It seems to be well made. One initial concern was that there are fewer settings on the dial than I'm used to, but this washer does a good job through the range of settings it has, and I'm pleased with the results.
