Dual fuel freestanding range model ECFD3068AS
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For decades I have used dual fuel stoves. The ease of control of the gas top cooking and dry heat from the oven for baking is dynamic combination. Our prior major brand dual fuel lasted nearly 20 years and it was time to say goodbye due to computer module issues. We bought the updated version that uses a touch screen by the burner control knobs. When the oven door was opened, the steam from food preparations (especially roasted vegetables) would cause the touch screen to fail. This happened the first time the oven was used. The function of the oven touch screen froze. A few times the circuit breaker had to be shut off and put on to allow the reset of the computer module. The computer module was replaced and the issue continued over 5 months. We worked closely with our local appliance store who was wonderful with exchanging stoves for our current Electrolux ECFD3068AS.
We have had the new stove for a week and had used it heavily since its installation. Yes, there is a learning curve to operate the burners and selected the oven modes and timer. That is OK!! The design of the front burners with the dual rings, the inner burner allows for a TRUE simmer function!! (FYI) The cooling fan also operates with the stove top even when the oven is not being used. The lines of the stove and the heavy duty grated for the burners makes this a show piece in our kitchen.

Love this range!
The range is of great quality. Theresa little bit of a learning curve using the gas burners, but it’s worth it. We got dual fuel, so the oven is electric. We really love the even baking temperature of an electric oven.

Beautiful Range

Good looking-good cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent range. The burners have plenty of power and the oven cooks evenly and heats quickly. The stovetop is also relatively easy to clean. My only negative comment is that the oven controls are rather cumbersome and difficult to learn and remember as the range only has knobs that push and turn rather than buttons for the oven controls. It requires several pushes and turns to set the oven temp and turn it on and it is easy to accidentally change the oven temp when you are intending to set a timer. Perhaps this system is more robust than a standard push button control pad that will short out with time, but we have only owned the stove for a couple of months so only time will tell.
